Video shorts mgm 19381/1/2023 Likewise we see Edith Roberts and William Russell together, so that clip probably comes from "On Thin Ice" (1925). Bosworth and Nazimova are seen in the same clip, so it must be from "My Son" (1925). Something else that's quite valuable about this short is its inclusion of clips from rare or lost films. Walthall, Marie Prevost, Thelma Todd, Valentino (seen with Agnes Ayres), Will Rogers, Marie Dressler, and Jean Harlow. #VIDEO SHORTS MGM 1938 MOVIE#In the second part, acknowledging late movie stars, we get glimpses of Wallace Reid, Theodore Roberts, Willard Louis, Gladys Brockwell, Milton Sills, Barbara LaMarr, Edith Roberts, William Russell, Roy Stewart, Dustin Farnum, Art Acord, Fred Thomson, George Beban, Renée Adorée, Lew Cody, Mabel Normand, Lon Chaney, Lou Tellegen, Lilyan Tashman, Jack Pickford, John Bowers, Henry B. Nilsson, Ben Turpin, Conrad Nagel, Phyllis Haver, Harrison Ford, May McAvoy, Alla Nazimova, Hobart Bosworth, Dorothy Mackaill, Dolores Del Rio, Edmund Lowe, Helene Chadwick, Harry Carey, Mary Philbin, Doug Jr., William Boyd, Louise Fazenda, Irene Rich, Ned Sparks, Harry Langdon, Rin-Tin-Tin, the Talmadges, Monte Blue, and Raymond Hatton. In the first part, we get to see Chaplin, Wallace Beery, Harold Lloyd, Mary Pickford, Douglas Fairbanks, Lewis Stone, Anita Stewart, Ronald Colman, Colleen Moore, Madge Bellamy, Leatrice Joy, Gene Morgan, Charlie Murray, George Sidney, Sally Eilers, Anna Q. Fiddler's narration is generally respectful and even affectionate, and some of the stars featured rarely get seen anywhere. What makes this little film special is the fact that it's a tribute to early screen performers, some of whom were still active at the time, others who had retired, and many who were deceased.
